Frequently asked questions
What is SIL accommodation?
SIL accommodation is a home — usually shared — where NDIS-funded Supported Independent Living (SIL) is delivered. The dwelling itself may be a private rental, community housing or an SDA home.
Is SIL accommodation the same as an SDA home?
No. SIL is the funded support; SDA is the funded dwelling. Many SIL homes are ordinary rentals, but SIL is often delivered in SDA homes too.
Where can I find SIL vacancies?
Start with SIL Connect (silconnect.com.au) for a dedicated SIL vacancy directory, or browse SDA Listings for homes where SIL is already arranged.
