Coordinator inspections are different from participant inspections. Your job is to verify what was advertised, capture evidence and represent the participant's requirements accurately.
Before you go
- Confirm design-category and building-type claims from the listing.
- Bring the participant's housing-requirements document and tape measure.
- Confirm consent to take photos on the participant's behalf.
On site
- Verify access from the street, driveway and front door.
- Measure critical clearances — bathroom, bedroom, corridor turns.
- Check assistive-tech provisioning and back-up power (if fitted).
- Ask about current housemates and household norms.
Afterwards
- File the report against the participant record within 48 hours.
- Flag any mismatches between listing and reality to the provider in writing.
